Made in Japan Wajima Urushi Husband and Wife Chopsticks - Hand-painted Makie (Ume Matsuba)
(By Hashimoto Kousaku Shikkiten)
Hashimoto Kousaku Shikkiten was established in 1949 in Wajima city of Ishikawa prefecture and they continue to produce “Wajima urushi chopsticks” with inherited skill of the First Kousaku.
Their authentic Japanese chopsticks made of natural wood and natural lacquer. Their products won various awards such as “100 crafts in Ishikawa”, “Design Center Ishikawa elected products”, and “Ishikawa brand new products.”
Wajima urushi chopsticks partly use synthetic resin coating.
No base powder is applied to primer coating. Second coating and the top of chopsticks are applied with synthetic resin coating.
The final coating is finished with natural lacquer.
Since natural wood and natural lacquer are used, please be careful and refrain from using a dishwasher or dryer.
We recommend using a soft sponge or cloth.
Depending on your constitution, you may get a rash on rare occasions.
Leaving it in water for a long time may cause it to bend or crack.
Please do not use it for any purpose other than chopsticks.
